GRS CERTIFICATION
The Rubans Héraud company has been involved in an eco-responsible approach for several years. We are pleased to offer you ribbons that are woven from GRS recycled yarns.
THE GRS STANDARD IN A FEW WORDS:
It makes it possible to guarantee the recycled content of products throughout the production chain and to have complete traceability from the entry into stock of raw materials until the delivery of the items. It also monitors the company’s good practice on social and environmental criteria.
1. Collection
Bottles made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET) are recovered from recycling centres and then collected.
2. Separation
Containers and bottles are separated by colour automatically or manually.
3. Ranking
Caps and labels are removed.
6. Manufacturing
The threads are woven and made into ribbons. The difference between ribbon made from recycled and non-recycled yarn is not even visible to the naked eye.
5. Thread
The granules are subjected to high temperatures and become a liquid mass which, once cooled, transforms into polyester filaments.
4. Grinding
The bottles are crushed to obtain granules.

OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 is one of the world’s best-known labels testing textiles for harmful substances. This label is synonymous with confidence for customers and guarantees high product safety.
The ribbons are tested by independent institutes on the basis of particularly rigorous OEKO-TEX® criteria.
