An ecological fibre with a refined design for responsible, trendy packaging
Tencel (or lyocell) is an ecological and sustainable fibre produced from the pulp of eucalyptus, hardwood or bamboo which is treated with a non-toxic solvent in a closed-loop process, meaning that the solvent is recycled at over 99% and reused to produce new fibres.
Lyocell is a contraction of the terms LYOphilisation and CELLulose.
Tencel, a registered trademark, is soft, breathable, absorbent and crease-resistant. It is also environmentally friendly, as it is produced from renewable and biodegradable raw materials.
Made from sustainable wood fibres, this ribbon is soft, silky and has a similar appearance to cotton.
The production of Tencel fibre requires around 20 times less water than cotton.
