HERAUD company was created in 1966 on the outskirts of Saint Etienne city in the heart of a region devoted to the ribbon industry.
We invit you to visit our factory of narrow tapes, beautifully located in La Séauve sur Semène, not far from LYON.Follow the different stages of the manufacture of textile tape, from warping to the finished product:
Stem from a family of ribbon manufacturer, René HERAUD, the founder of the company, decides to launch his own production of ribbons and decorative tapes for the home furniture. In the early 2000th he became one of the most important French leaders with his output of curtain ribbons commonly called “Ruflette”.
Some years later, in cooperation with his son Philippe, the company was settled in a niche market with the launching of rigid and elastic velvet ribbons. They decided then to extend their range of tapes to the standards of other end-applications like the haberdashery, the dressmaking and the packaging of luxury products: Satin tape, grosgrain, taffeta, twill…
Our company masters the full production process from the weaving to the dyeing of ribbons, based on standard colours of Heraud’s range or on specific colour requirements. We support our customers in achieving their projects by proposing our wide possibilities of made to measure solutions: the laser and ultrasound cutting system, screen printing technology, gluing system, butterfly knots and accessories, box closures and many other realizations.
In 1997 a new production plant of 3000m² was settled in the small town of Pont Salomon in Haute Loire county. 10 years later, due to an exponential growth over the years, a second plant of 10.000 m² was built. The two buildings located in very close commune are dedicated to the production for the first and to the storage of end products for the second.
Today, the company is well recognized for its real know-how in the weaving of narrow fabrics and attest of its commitment to a 100% made in France production from the weaving to the end-product.
Laurent Heraud leads the company Rubans René Heraud since 2013.
